Turtle & Nature Park (PTN)
ACI is currently building the Turtle & Nature Park (PTN) with plans to open in the fall of 2027. This will be the first park entirely dedicated to African turtles and will be built on a reserved area of just under 5 acres (20,000 square meters) and will be a unique place for education, awareness and also the conservation of these species. The park will include:
- More than 20 species of African turtles
- At least 130 varieties of trees and plants
- Sea Turtle rescue and rehabilitation units
- Museum with 47 tribal artifacts connected to turtle
PTN will be a 2.5 hour drive from Dakar, the capital of Senegal, and just 1 hour from the tourist resort of Saly. With this prime location, we have set a goal of welcoming more than 40,000 visitors per year. All profits will be reinvested into turtle conservation projects across Africa, ensuring long-term sustainability of ACI’s mission. In addition to supporting our mission, PTN will also create economic opportunity in the region, generating many jobs.
